The goal of these photographs were to capture photographs that are candid or seem candid. Adele is very candid and shares a lot of her personal life to the world through her songs. I wanted to capture that in the photographs. I used song lyrics instead of just the titles. I did this because the lyrics are way more personal and detailed then the titles that represent the songs.
"When I walk around all these streets."
"I'm sure my eyes, they speak for me."
"In the light of day."
"Its so cold out here in your wilderness."
"They can't look me in the eye."
"When the night keeps you from sleeping."
I really admire the clear and present subject in all these images. Also, because black and white photos are done so frequently, it's difficult to find "good" black and white pictures and I think your set of images is one of the few sets of images that work in black and white. It would be interesting to see them in unsaturated colors!
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of having candid photos, it perfectly captures Adele's lyrics. Like Razan said, your black and white photos are done really well and work with your album. Were these shot on your London trip? it looks fun!!
ReplyDeleteLike said earlier, I think my favorite part of these photos is the black and white because they are done so well and they fit the mood of the songs by Adele. This was really good, great job!!
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job embodying the ideas that were most prominent in the album you chose. I also like how most of these photos are candid, personally I think those are some of your strongest photos.
